CUSTOMER ATTENDANT – IMPOUND LOT
TEMPORARY - 1 YEAR
The Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) is a team of professionals who are building stronger communities by providing exceptional parking experiences. The CPA fulfills The City of Calgary’s parking mandates and implements the municipality’s parking policies by managing on- and off-street public parking facilities, enforcement programs, and providing parking advisory services.
Reporting to the Yard Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing service excellence to the citizens of Calgary. The Customer Attendant provides security and customer service to the impound lot. Primary duties include:
- Drive or walk customers to their vehicles to obtain registration, insurance and personal contents. Provide information to customers as required;
- Ensure all legal documentation provided by customers is correct;
- Scan / take pictures of documents with a tablet and print receipts on a point of sale hand held computer;
- Ensure the grounds and the property of the CPA Impound Lot remain secure at all times. Perform light maintenance of yard; sweeping, snow removal;
- Verify VINS, Makes, Models, License Plates, Colours of vehicles on Daily and Monthly reports; and,
- Alternate Gatekeeper.
The successful applicant must possess a High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) plus a minimum of one years’ experience in a customer service environment. The ability to perform yard maintenance duties including the ability to lift 35 pounds is required. A minimum of 25 words per minute keyboarding speed, with a proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook) is also required. A valid Class 5 Driver's License with no more than six demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending is required.

Hourly Wage: $22.28 - $23.33 - $24.35 - $26.39
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. This position works shifts including days, nights weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions: The position works primarily in an outdoor environment under all weather conditions. Must be able to provide good customer service to potentially confrontational and agitated customers.
