Process Operator Jobs Vacancy in Gibson Energy Rimbey Jobs Details:

To manage trucks entering and unloading at the facility, disposing of water, managing oil out trucks, keeping daily books balanced and keeping the facility organized and cleaned.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Adhere to Gibson Energy procedures and policies
  • Be responsible for personal environmental affairs and for the health and safety of their work group
  • Takes active role in the EH&S process
  • Proficient understanding to follow all facility Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s)
  • Perform all operational duties in the most time effective and safest manner possible
  • Gather information (cuts, samples, etc.) and document accordingly as per set out in procedure
  • Changing of water filters
  • Understanding of start up and shut downs
  • Understanding of overall facility procedures
  • Ensure that the workplace stays “in Control” and safe at all time
  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. Keep a documented log of all communication for reference
  • Lead by example
  • Ensure compliances with programs, work procedures and rules
  • Participate in prescribed training
  • Participate in job planning and tail-gate meetings
  • Participate in EH&S action teams
  • Participate in monthly EH&S safety meetings
  • Willing to participate in scheduled mock emergency exercises
  • Encourage co-worker EH&S appropriate job behavior
  • Conduct equipment pre-use inspections and daily/weekly/monthly site inspections
  • Identify and reports defects, hazards and contraventions and immediately reports all incidents; initiates “Stop Work” authority appropriately
  • Participates in Emergency Response exercises
  • Reports unresolved issues upwards
  • Do all tasks assigned
  • Accountable to submit all inspection checklists as assigned
  • Complete and submit SAS interventions and incident reports
  • Experience with the facility’s (Emergency Response Plan) ERP, Material Safety Data Sheet(MSDS)and the SOP correspondence
  • Willing to be flexible with shift changes if required, and help to fill in others holidays
  • Record daily bump test records
  • Cleaning of all buildings including office (dusting, toilet, etc.)
  • Assist in unloading all trucks, taking samples and putting them in an organized system in storage
  • Book and co-ordinate all incoming and outgoing loads at the plant. No loads that fall within Gibson acceptance parameters will be refused unless absolutely necessary. This requires either a Lead Operator or Manager’s consent
  • Unload/load trucks as quickly as possible while maintaining a safe workplace
  • Ensure that an appropriate orientation is completed for all drivers, visitors and contractors at the plant site. All hazards, procedures and expectations must be clearly communicated at this time
  • Develop and demonstrate a positive relationship with customers, visitors, contractors, landowners, neighbours and co-workers at all times
  • Awareness of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations and ensure they are complied with
  • Weekly and monthly inspections
  • Daily readings
  • Documenting pressures and rates
  • Documenting daily activities as to let next shift know
  • Going into SAS and confirming your action items have been completed
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSS&E) through participation in all applicable HSS&E programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company HSS&E policies and procedures


KEY SKILLS:
  • Computer skills are an asset
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Good communication skills
  • Taking orders and doing tasks in a timely manner
  • Being able to work with others in a friendly environment


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Thoroughly familiar with the proper use of tools and equipment used in maintenance
  • General knowledge of applicable SER( Saskatchewan Energy Regulators) directives
  • Qualified in the operation of heavy equipment used at the facility
  • Safety training an asset.H2S, Confined Space, First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, TDG, Loader training, Fire extinguisher Training, Gas Detection and Control


WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • All proper PPE must be worn at all times at the facility
  • Use of breathing air may apply in some circumstances
  • This job is subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as outlined in Gibsons’ Drug & Alcohol policy
