Fire Services Administrative Coordinator Jobs Vacancy in City Grande Prairie Grande Prairie Jobs Details:

As the front reception position at the Fire Station, you are the initial point of contact for both internal and external customers. You are friendly, welcoming, and professional. You have experience dealing with customers tactfully and politely. You are able to multi-task, and prioritize your work day.

Emergency management related duties is a critical component of this position, as is a variety of project work.

The successful candidate will be a mature, self-motivated person with strong interpersonal skills as well as a proven record of customer service excellence. This position requires the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, providing front line customer service in a small team environment.



Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing a varied and challenging administrative support and coordination role for the Fire Administration Team and for Fire Committees – which includes organizing, monitoring, follow-up and reporting as well as meeting management, agendas and minutes.

You will be responsible for cash handling, invoicing, data entry, tracking, as well as general administrative support for the team.

You will provide excellent front line customer service to the public and to other departments and agencies; including tracking customer service requests and follow-up.

You will also be responsible for Emergency Management related tasks such as Incident Management Team representation and Emergency Operations support duties.

The position will also include a variety of project work as assigned, including support for training and logistics, and administrative duties on future technology projects.



Qualifications

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of post secondary education. A diploma in Office or Business Administration is preferred, along with related financial experience.

Experience and/or training in Emergency Management is required for this position. Please list specific training qualifications.

Related experience in working for senior level of management, dealing with confidential matters, and a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products are essential for this position.

This position is part of a small team which is required to cross train in all administrative duties in order to meet the operational needs of the Grande Prairie Fire Department. It requires a self-motivated, task oriented individual who has the flexibility and discipline to work independently or with a team.

The successful candidate(s) will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check.
