This position will be responsible for the efficient selection and management of transmission and distribution line projects and processes within T&D Capital Management and Performance. You will be responsible to ensure that project management methodology is followed. You will be part of a team integrating new technologies into our business.
The T&D Capital Engineer candidate will work closely with other technical and operating groups to ensure projects are successfully implemented. As required you will develop tracking procedures for new construction projects and review projects in the field. The candidate will be responsible to develop processes to maintain efficient deployment of our capital program.
You will be responsible for personal safety, that of co-workers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupation Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental management system processes and initiatives. You must demonstrate your commitment to the Capabilities Development Process.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
A Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering, full membership (or eligible for membership) in Engineers NS, strong analytical/computer skills and an aptitude for detailed process analysis are required for the position. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management.
You must possess a valid driver´s license and be available to provide assistance/direction for after hour emergency service restoration.
Reports to: Senior Engineer, T&D Capital Execution.
