The BC Prosecution Service - the Criminal Justice Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General - is responsible for all prosecutions and appeals in this province that fall under the Criminal Code and do not involve the federal prosecution service [the latter focuses primarily on drug offences]. The BC Prosecution Service is also responsible for the prosecution of all provincial regulatory offences.
As a Legal Clerk in this critical department, you will perform a variety of legal support services for Crown Counsel and the public for criminal justice files, and also perform redaction services [entry level] for the purpose of disclosure to defence counsel.
This role requires a high degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality. If you have these attributes, along with a keen eye for detail and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal office environment, we look forward to receiving your application.

To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience working in an administrative office environment including reception duties. Prefer three or more years of this experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and database systems [i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc.].
- Minimum 40 wpm keyboarding speed.
- Prefer one or more years of experience working in a legal office environment [i.e. courts, law firm, corrections, police, etc.].
