The Community Engagement Analyst provides investigative comprehensive research services to support the Disabilities Advisory and Engagement Branch (DAEB) in its work with the Premier's Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities and the Family Support for Children With Disabilities - Provincial Parent Advisory Committee (PPAC) and the community stakeholders. This role will build relationships and capacity with the disability community stakeholders.
The successful candidate will identify issues, analyze relevant information, support environmental scanning exercises, initiate and coordinate responses, and provide value-added information in a timely manner. The information and advice will influence the direction, design, and implementation of disability and inclusion advice to government policies and programs, which can directly affect persons with disabilities, their families and supporters. The position will support the Council and PPAC through organizational support of engagement.
Post secondary graduation in a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the community disability sector. Knowledge and awareness of disability and inclusion legislation, including the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and other relevant legislation is required. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills complemented by high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, lnDesign and Outlook is a definite asset.
Equivalencies will be considered.
$2,259.36 - $2,963.75 Bi-weekly
This is an 18 months temporary opportunity with the possibility of extension.
