Finance Business Partner Analyst Jobs Vacancy in Aviva Markham Jobs Details:
Reporting to the AVP Business Partnering & working closely with the Business Partnering team, to provide actionable financial and strategic insights on performance and business decisions. Also provides needed support to analyze different emerging business issues and drive appropriate solutions which result in superior business performance.
· Actively partner with the Regional Business Leads, Finance Business Partners (FBP), Finance Operations, Corporate Planning, PL/CL Actuarial and key stakeholders across the organization to deliver performance and business insights, to include
Assist in financial and business analysis to support business decisions (portfolio transfers, growth plans)
Support in providing actionable insights on monthly performance and performance of specific initiatives.
Support in developing quarterly forecasts and plans, including development of appropriate tools/templates to facilitate the process
Support in monitoring the performance of portfolio transfer.
Provide ad hoc analysis, insight and support, to include
Providing insight and support on underwriting P&L and drive discussions to enable the business to meet targets
Benchmarking against competitors
Providing ad hoc business and financial analysis and insight.
Actively collaborate with Personal lines, Finance Operations, Corporate Planning, Expense Management, Performance Management, SBP’s and business leaders to enhance new deal execution, performance management, report production and corporate planning and forecasting processes to enhance finance value proposition.
Drive for continuous improvement by partnering with all areas of the organization
Foster strong relationships with SBP’s and Business Leaders, to ensure understanding and effective and efficient delivery of stakeholder needs.
Promote high performance culture built on joint accountability, teamwork, work ethic, positive attitude and desire to challenge for greater goals and continuous improvement.
Qualified accounting designation e.g. CPA, (CA, CMA or CGA)
2+ year experience in partnering and performance management, preferably in a P&C organization
3-5 years of overall working experience in Finance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate clear, concise and on the mark analysis and commentary to senior leaders
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with business functions, executives and business partners.
Superior analytical skills with an insatiable desire to probe, question, validate and challenge to ensure accurate and insightful analysis.
Superior change agent skills with the ability and appetite to drive continuous improvement in cross functional finance processes and insights to better support the business.
Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast paced environment, while adhering to strict deadlines.
Solid understanding of accounting principles.
Highly proficient in Microsoft suite of applications especially Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas
Experience using financial reporting/planning systems (Oracle, Essbase, Hyperion)
Working knowledge of data systems, query extractions (SAP Business Objects
