As a Surgical Processor, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation. You will use the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). You will ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order, perform biological, chemical and quality assurance testing and report problems to the supervisor or designate.

Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) certification or Central Service Association (CSA) certification.Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be willing to attend educational courses related to work duties. Must be able to demonstrate and understand the correct operating procedures for all equipment within the area, including steam and low temperature sterilization and have a sound knowledge of the different methods of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization. Must understand the principles of aseptic technique as related to instruments, supplies and equipment preparation and exemplify thoroughness and attention to detail. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and following written and verbal instructions in English. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate ability to prioritize, organize and communicate with team members to ensure collaboration in meeting work objectives. Must be able to lift packages up to 20 pounds, consistently, reach, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
