Stocksy is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance Team.

This position offers a great opportunity to be part of an incredible team of industry leaders. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Finance Assistant will play an integral role in maintaining the smooth operation of our financial systems in support of our co-operative.
Location: Stocksy HQ (Victoria, BC)
Job type: Full time contract
Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
Term: 3 month contract (with potential option for extension)
Anticipated start date: January 2018
Highly organized, unflappable and adaptable
Self-motivated, passionate and eager to contribute to the growth of our co-operative
Excellent at working in a collaborative, team-based environment
Support the finance team with day-to-day processes including recording expenses and receipts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Manage and process invoices
Organizing and filing paperwork
Processing tax payments
Provide internal financial support to other departments as required
Contribute to evolving the organization’s financial systems and processes
Assist the VP of Finance as required
Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
Familiarity with accounting software and payment gateways (e.g. Quickbooks, Paypal, Payoneer etc.)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
High attention to detail, with an eagle eye for spotting numerical errors
Prior experience working in technology sector (not required but an asset)
