Join our regional head office team; an excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual who has the initiative and desire to oversee our communications strategy.
This intermediate position is best suited to an individual with a degree or diploma in Journalism and/or Communications, who loves to write compelling content and produce interesting videos. You must be comfortable in front of the camera as well as behind it with creative writing skills and the vision to capitalize on the latest social media trends, while helping to gain RE/MAX coverage in traditional media outlets. The incumbent must be able to work with our agencies and be comfortable researching content, coordinating Market Trends reports, and assisting the regional spokesperson to be prepared for media interviews.
The successful candidate will have a passion for social media and blogging, and the ability to identify and train agents/brokers on emerging social media trends and best practices. The ability to create internal communications that generate buzz for our membership via email, blog posts and video is essential; as well as creating external communications aimed at the general public via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. is required. You will also be responsible to liaise with our national public relations firm for the coordination of national market trends reports and other media outreach efforts.
Microsoft products, Word Press, Photoshop, photography and experience using mass email programs is required. An understanding of multi-media formats is also required as this position will be responsible for providing productions in a variety of formats for use on the internet, blogs, social media sites, and even big screen presentations at conventions. Some travel is required to regional events. An interest in the real estate industry is helpful and a minimum of three recent years related experience in Communications is required.
