We are looking for an experienced Product/Business Analyst to join our R&D team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will collaborate with colleagues and retail clients from around the globe.
Create Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) with use cases and screen mockups for our Merchandise Management System
Guide our developers to the complete understanding of the requirements
Conduct frequent review sessions with developers to ensure compliance with the functional requirements
Effectively interact with internal business and technical stakeholders while collecting and sharing information required for successful software delivery
Effectively interact with Mi9 Retail clients to collect all necessary information for creation of high quality functional requirements and design documents
Conduct product training sessions within the company to educate our staff on the product functionality
Be a “go-to” expert for Professional Services, QA, Sales, and Support teams regarding the product functionality
Assist R&D team with tracking status for larger development initiatives surrounding new functionality designed by the Product Analyst
Other duties as assigned
Must have 2+ years of Product/Business Analyst experience in the retail industry, including writing functional requirements and use cases for retail software
Recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of Merchandise Management Systems
Be obsessively detailed, disciplined, and committed to process
Have strong software development knowledge to quickly understand systems and technical concepts
Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Maintain flexibility and focus while navigating between the business and technical domains
JIRA and Confluence work experience
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship for employment.
