As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).Additional Required Qualifications:
Maintain AHS Annual Continuing Education. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Participate in Diagnostic Imaging Quality program. You are an organized, independent worker and a strong team player who is committed to providing quality patient care. Willing to take on additional duties as operationally required. Proven organizational and communication skills. Problem solving and critical thinking skills. The ability to foster an environment of cooperation, networking and collaboration. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to deal courteously and tactfully with team members and other Alberta Health Services Staff. Proficient in scanning CT headsPreferred Qualifications:
Medication Administration course an asset. Additional continuing education/courses.
