Accountabilities may include, but are not limited to: Managing all aspects of day to day operations, service delivery and team workload. Ensuring continuous, reliable operations and optimum performance are proactively maintained. Investigating, diagnosing and resolving complex problems and technical issues, independently or through others. Utilizing advanced subject expertise, recommends, plans and implements continuous improvements. Implementation of team strategies according to operational and strategic plans by architecting, developing, supporting, and utilizing new and existing technical solutions. Providing support for applications (e.g. workload systems) as required. Ensuring high level guidance and AHS policies and standards are applied. Maintaining technical subject matter expertise to participate in providing recommendations on technologies and trends affecting data warehousing and analytics at AHS. Collaborating and maintaining relationships with technical, clinical and business stakeholders. Advise, guide and mentor junior team members.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent required. 5+ years’ recent IT experience, within a team setting, in the technical development of data warehouses, databases, ETL processes, data modeling, data analysis, and system implementation required. Advanced SQL Server 2008R2 or above skills required, Oracle an asset. Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills with recent relevant experience required. Strong skills and understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence methodologies required. Advanced Microsoft BI development stack experience required. Report development experience required, SSRS 2012 preferred. Programming skills and experience required. Object oriented and MVC methodologies required, C# preferred, Java an asset. Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills required. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong client focus and a proven ability to work collaboratively within multiple team environments required. Problem resolution skills required.
Strong development skills in Team Foundation Server 2013 preferred. Advanced skills in the SCM application and data model preferred. Project Management experience an asset. Familiarly with ITIL Incident and Change Management Procedures preferred. Health care industry knowledge and experience preferred. Clinical data experience preferred.
