Family Law Legal Administrative Assistant (South Surrey) Based in Surrey (152nd Street & Hwy 10), our Family law firm is seeking a legal administrative assistant to join our highly experienced legal team. Ideal candidates would possess a minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with a high attention to detail and excellent technical skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Responsible for the overall management of two Intermediate Lawyers practice
*Maintaining lawyer calendars and bring forward systems *Preparing legal forms (Affidavits, Motions, Requisitions etc) *Preparing routine correspondence
*Dictation *Organizing and assembling document binders such as Application Records, Trial Records *Recording time entries, posting disbursements & generating invoices in PC Law *Assisting lawyers and paralegals with a variety of other tasks *Ability to professionally handle client interactions QUALIFICATIONS * Legal Administrative Assistant certificate or completion of an equivalent accredited program * Practical work experience in civil litigation or Family Law *An ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple assignments and solving unforeseen problems to meet deadlines *An ability to produce accurate legal documents as well as properly formatted and grammatically correct correspondence *An ability to adhere to firm policies and practices .
