Fitness & Wellness Coordinator - Competition Number 18-79R
Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is currently seeking a regular full-time Fitness and Wellness Coordinator. The position is based on our Surrey campus. The successful candidate must be prepared to organize and implement all aspects of fitness and wellness programs on four (4) campuses, oversee department promotion, facility maintenance, fitness and wellness scheduling, program evaluation and monitor equipment needs. Candidates must be outgoing, enthusiastic and customer service oriented with superior public speaking, presentation and organizational skills.
Minimum qualifications include a diploma in recreation (bachelor’s degree preferred), personal training certification (e.g. BCRPA, ACE, ACSM) and 2 years of previous experience working directly with students in a sport and recreation capacity in a post-secondary setting. Candidate may be required to deliver a variety of programs and must have experience with recreation or sport event programming, organizing and implementing activities (preferably with adults or young adults). Must be able to travel between KPU campuses and occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required.
The salary range for this position is $46,883.20 -$52,416.00.
