This position is responsible for supporting the CEO of Canada and Senior Leaders Team, and will involve various activities, adhoc projects and initiatives which support the broader International organization. This job does not manage others This job works under General Direction: Establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Generally final results are reviewed. (Typically applies to a manager or expert/top level professional.)
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts and manages multiple complex research projects. Performs advanced market, industry, financial, and economic analysis. Manages projects end-to-end and provides coaching/subject matter expertise to department. Summarizes and synthesizes complex, and often conflicting, datasets into actionable insights. Blends together incomplete sources of information into cohesive arguments. Formulates a comprehensive answer for the client's business question not limited to initial question scope. Support the strategy directing and managing projects, people or innovation streams. Assist in directing the construction of a variety of statistical analyses including data mining, predictive modeling and/or actuarial techniques. Drive the agenda, content and coordination of various National meetings (e.g., All Employee, Quarterly Strategic Reviews, Town Hall Meetings). Performing research and project management support for start-up initiatives, such as new products or entrance that will require significant coordination with Enterprise resources and Canadian businesses. Acting as the primary lead in the preparation of executive level presentations for internal and external audiences. Participating in completion of Strategic Reviews. Working with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to monitor high priority initiatives and facilitate meetings to discuss. Assisting in developing an overall Communication Strategy and Plans. Collaborating on problem resolution, team decisions and project planning. Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree required. 7 years of relevant work experience within financial services or consulting industry. Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint/Excel) experience is required.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
MBA preferred. Proven ability to articulate business strategies and formulate concise solutions to complex problems. Experience in insurance or finance is a strong plus Toronto based with national travel. Qualifications: Self motivated, self starter who has the ability to initiate projects, prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills that allow the individual to handle multiple tasks while being extremely detailed oriented. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey ideas, problems, and issues to various audiences. Proficient problem solving and analytical skills.
