What is this opportunity?
As part of a dynamic Advice Centre recruitment team, the Recruitment Consultant manages the full life cycle recruitment process for high-volume financed based roles in the Mississauga Advice Centre and assists colleagues across Canada as required. They will have a proven track record in delivering recruitment services and managing relationships with Senior Managers and Centre Directors. They will source, screen and assess talent in order to provide recommendations to managers on best fit. They will develop a solid understanding of their assigned businesses and build strong relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and other internal groups as appropriate.
What will you do?
Execute recruitment for the Advice Centre platforms with a focus on attracting top talent and building proactive candidate pipelines for ongoing hiring targets.
Support full-cycle recruitment – identify and engage talent, post requisitions, pre-screen, schedule interviews and manage candidates through the interview and offer process.
Proactively generate candidate flow through a variety of sourcing channels, including social media, various organizations, career centers etc. and research and initiate other channels as appropriate.
Act as Subject Matter Expert for hiring managers throughout the recruitment process and represent the recruiting team by attending Advice Centre related meetings as required, and embed diversity conversations in all recruitment and sourcing activities.
Gather and provide feedback/recommendations to both the candidate and hiring manager regarding strengths and development needs of the candidate to determine and select the most qualified candidate.
Manage information and recruitment process through the Applicant Tracking System (TalentLink). Ensure that all information is current and activity is updated on a regular basis.
Assist in the organization and execution of networking/information sessions and other recruitment events and participate in special projects as required.
Liaise with Recruitment Partners to identify and highlight top talent across Personal and Commercial Banking.
What do you need to succeed?
3+ years’ experience within recruitment
Strong full life-cycle recruitment experience; financial services industry preferred; preferred candidates will have corporate and recruitment agency experience.
Excellent client service orientation and relationship management skills
Strong sourcing, networking, and lead generation skills to locate candidates with difficult to find skill sets in local and other markets
Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing situations, be innovative and agile with a flexible attitude
Nice to Have
Experience or interest/passion for the Banking industry
Ability to manage high volume recruitment coupled with a busy event schedule during peak recruitment cycles
Background with providing consultative recruitment support in a coaching and advisory capacity
