Under a matrix reporting relationship between the Senior Manager and assigned Supervisor, the role of the Senior Project Analyst will act as a senior project resource on assigned projects focusing on providing a significant portion of the hands-on coordination, planning and execution of work packages that is needed as part of a project’s execution. The Senior Project Analyst is expected to execute their work packages through experienced/advanced support towards the following activities: project definition, requirements gathering, business process definition, stakeholder engagement, testing, training, communications, support, and project management documentation . This role may also be assigned project administrative tasks.
The Senior Project Analyst will support numerous initiatives that assure that care delivered at CAMH is standardized, simple, scalable and sustainable. The primary role of the SPA will be to provide facilitation, implementation and documentation support with respect to the standardization of care including standardized processes and protocols, integrated care pathways, and adherence to provincial quality standards. This will include the facilitation and support for implementing PDSA cycles, process mapping, and development of implementation plans, critical paths and initiative documentation including lessons learned documents.
The Senior Project Analyst may also be assigned to other projects.
This role has no direct responsibility for human resources, well-being of patients, or resources.
Key Accountabilities : Adhere to processes and reporting for the EPMO and EDI Execute project work streams as assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor Under direction of the Project Manager or Supervisor, hold accountability for a single lower complexity, lower impact project (e.g. projects that are generally contained to one business unit, no staffing impact) Identify, document, mitigate, and resolve potential project risks and issues of importance; escalate to the Project Manager or Supervisor where appropriate Facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings that are integral to generate buy-in to change Together with the Project Manager or Supervisor facilitate internal project team meetings including development of agenda, leading meeting, ensuring documentation and follow-up of action items identified Implement project lifecycle process improvements when they add value for the specific project Conduct project administrative tasks such as minutes, documentation gathering, reports, summary of action items, etc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Project Manager or Supervisor: Assist in the development of project plans for lower complexity projects Assist in development of implementation plans and critical paths for QI initiatives Assist in the development of the change management strategy and the management of project change Assist in the development of the gap analysis strategy Assist in the development of the requirements gathering approach and plan Assist in the development of the testing or PDSA plan Assist in the development of the training and support plan Assist in development of a sustainability and spread plan Plan, coordinate, and facilitate stakeholder engagement through interviews, workshops, and/or training Assist in the development and execution of project evaluation activities Identify information and data requirements necessary to define solutions Collect stakeholder requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, and object modeling. Analyze and synthesize stakeholder requirements into actionable items Participate in stakeholder engagement activities such as interviews, workshops, meetings, and/or training Use various methodologies to analyze problems and provide solutions to a variety of problems that are encountered in the business Carry out workflow and process redesign activities Coordinate and carry out testing activities Coordinate and provide training and support Review, develop, and/or deliver reports, training materials, communications, and presentations (in written, verbal, or graphical form) Participate in project evaluation activities Summarize updates on tasks via discussions and status reports in written, verbal or graphical form, as required or requested
All skills listed below are required unless otherwise stated as preferred.
Education/Specific Training: A university degree in health research, health evaluation, health administration, information management or equivalent experience Formal project management education (preferred) Project Management Professional Certification (preferred) Experience: 2-5 years of progressive project analysis experience supporting healthcare, research, or process/quality improvement projects Quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience in a healthcare environment Experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders MS Visio experience (preferred) MS SharePoint experience (preferred) Experience supporting corporate-wide strategic initiatives in health care organizations (preferred) Judgement: Analytical problem-solving ability Able to prioritize and manage competing deadlines Attention to detail, and the ability to translate business concepts into the underlying stakeholder needs Demonstrated ability to work independently in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision Communication/Interpersonal: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills (e.g. interacting and gathering requirements, presentations, report writing) Strong organization skills; able to receive tasks from supervisor and formulate logical sequence of activities to achieve the task.
Other Skills: Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be at asset.
Salary Range: $31.44 to $42.42 per hour
