Municipal Affairs is looking for an individual to join their newly developed Centralized Industrial Property Assessment unit to ensure high quality products and services are provided.

The Sr. Quality Assurance and Control Advisor is responsible for providing leadership and coordination in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance standards that conform to stakeholder, internal, regulatory and legal requirements.

The regular duties of this position are:

  • Provide leadership and coordination in monitoring, measuring, reviewing, and providing support for the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the design and build of QA plans and oversee/conduct QA audits/inspections to ensure consistent implementation and maintenance of standards.
  • Provide specialized advice on Quality Assurance and Quality Management as the senior professional in the area.
  • Ensure the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of vendor quality systems.
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders including ministry staff, contractors, and outsourcing firms.
  • Provide formal and informal leadership for Quality Assurance teams.

  • Drive for results: clarifies objectives and taps into a variety of available resources within the organization; ensuring that roles and contributions are clear; sets performance standards and monitoring processes to ensure deviations from the plan are identified at an early stage; sets and accomplishes goals and priorities in order to deliver outcomes consistent with Government direction, departmental objectives and public expectations.

    Sr. Quality Assurance and Control Advisor (Program Services 4)
    A related post-secondary degree (such as Business Administration or Information Technology) with a current CQA or similar certification and four years of directly related quality management experience is required. Experience in successfully leading or evaluating programs is required. In depth knowledge and application of the Municipal Government act and its regulations supporting property assessment is also required. Knowledge and application of linear/industrial properties, project management training and experience and familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards is an asset.

    Salary

    $2,775.64 - $3,638.48 bi-weekly
