Raymond James Ltd. is seeking an insurance licensed Administrative Assistant to work in our Toronto branch. Raymond James Ltd. is Canada’s leading independent investment dealers offering high quality investment products and services to Canadians seeking customized solutions to their wealth management needs. Drawing on at least three (3) years previous experience as an Administrative Assistant in a financial services firm, the candidate must have a life insurance license, meticulous attention to detail, possess a positive attitude and have exceptional organizational skills, as they will be supporting the Insurance & Estate Planning Advisory team for Ontario. Specifically you will:
Prepare and review daily/monthly/annual reports, client correspondence and taking ownership of project work;
Process and follow up on insurance applications/transactions and manage documentation requirements;
Prepare letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients;
Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients and respond to requests for information;
Foster and support client relationships by liaising with clients and their Raymond James Financial Advisor, responding to requests and proactive problem solving; and
Maintain files and other general office duties as required.
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
Minimum of three years of insurance industry experience;
Life Insurance License in good standing with the FSCO;
Knowledge of principles, practices and commonly-used concepts that govern insurance and/or annuities;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Meticulous attention to detail;
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment;
Strong client service skills;
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook;
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, and external parties; and
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.
