Manager, Collections, Regina Public Library

If this sounds like you, we invite you to apply for the Manager, Collections position at Regina Public
Library. Reporting to the Deputy Library Director, the Collections Manager leads the effective,
coordinated collection services throughout the RPL system. This position is responsible for managing
supervisors and leads who oversee collection management, and providing leadership and initiative in
researching and developing collections that not only advance the service goals and strategic direction
of the Library, but also address the wants and needs of our community.
The Manager, Collections will build and maintain strong relationships with the Provincial Library and
Literacy Office at the Ministry of Education, the Saskatchewan Information Library Services Consortium
(SILS), and various other partners and vendors.
You have an ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies and demonstrated
progressive supervisory experience, not to mention a superior knowledge of the principles and trends in
the management of collections and all aspects of technical services. You can demonstrate your
proficiency with integrated library systems software as pertains to collections, cataloguing, and
acquisitions; and show us your ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing software environments.

Salary and Benefits: $74,446 to $106,353; Total rewards package including generous support for
