Global Forwarding Sales Director Jobs Vacancy in Milgram Toronto Jobs Details:
Milgram is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and develop our Global Forwarding business, which encompasses international freight forwarding and customs brokerage. Reporting to the Director of Sales and International Transportation, the Sales Director will be responsible for the professional development of a dynamic group of internal and external sales executives based in Ontario and Quebec, as well as for monitoring performance of the Canadian region and delivering new business across all segments.
Main duties and responsibilities
Manage a team of ten (10) Sales Executives through goal setting, performance reviews, joint sales calls, and informal coaching with emphasis on focus, pipeline quality, activity and deal strategy.
Manage two (2) Inside Sales Coordinators through goal setting and performance reviews with focus on productivity, new net revenue (NNR) generation, small customer retention, and sales lead qualification.
Effectively sponsor customers assigned to the Sales Director.
Coach the sales team to better understand all aspects of our customers’ business, leveraging all the services offered throughout the CH Robinson network.
Establish and monitor performance using our internal CRM.
Inform and educate the sales department on corporate compliance policies.
Organize regularly scheduled meetings with the sales team to communicate and reinforce the direction and strategy of the Global Forwarding business.
Business Management and development
Assist Sales Executives in implementing strategies to generate revenue and grow their customer base by cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying leads and other new business opportunities.
Provide solution-based proposals to customers’ challenges by leveraging the various services provided by CH Robinson.
Keep all stakeholders informed of sales department’s monthly pipeline.
Define standards and drive discipline for all Sales Executives.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a senior sales role within the logistics industry.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing a sales team and proven team building abilities.
Strong leadership skills.
Highly proficient in both spoken and written English. French will be considered an asset.
Presentation and public speaking skills will be considered an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and a very good knowledge of the Windows Operating Systems.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
Successful experience in establishing and utilizing measurements, processes, metrics to deliver results
Proven success in collaborating with others to create customized solutions.
Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
Strong orientation toward sales, growth, negotiation, and financial acumen.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.Aptitude for strategic thought and attention to detail.
