Role Summary:

Essential Responsibilities:
Vous ferez partie d'une équipe hautement qualifiée travaillant directement avec les équipes du client et les équipes de GE afin d’assurer le fonctionnement des systèmes et les opérations commerciales. Vous travaillerez avec des équipes d'ingénierie sur les corrections de bogues, les nouvelles solutions, les validations sur place, les plans de déploiement; vous contribuerez également à déterminer la cause fondamentale et la reproduction des problèmes système. Vous serez mis au défi d'apporter de nouvelles idées et des changements aux processus pour assurer la réussite de l’entente sur les niveaux de service et le processus de livraison.
With the 4th Digital revolution under way this role is part of the key service delivery of our IoT solutions. Working with a large mission critical client IoT systems and software solutions. This role is to be part of the primary operations expertise in delivering high quality service and maintenance support direct to our clients.You will be part of a highly skilled team working directly with the client’s teams and GE teams to ensure successful system and business operations. You will work with engineering teams on bug fixes, new solutions, field validations, roll out plans as well as helping identify root cause and reproduction of system issues. You will be challenged to bring new ideas and changes to process to ensure successful SLA and delivery process.

  • The primary support representative for the customer and key member in the solutions delivery team. Working closely with software engineering bringing service value to the client.
  • Responsible to build and maintain process and tools to bring operational services, software deployment, application monitoring and performance testing. Critical in being able to understand the entire client eco-system which includes GE systems and bring value to system wide trouble shooting sessions.
  • Assisting development of training documentation by sharing technical expertise with documentation team.
  • Managing both internal and external communications for scheduled maintenance, incidents and outages. Upgrades and release reviews.
  • Maintaining products and/or services for data protection, security, disaster recovery and emergency patching.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Posséder plus de cinq ans d’expérience sur les serveurs Linux, des compétences de développement de logiciels en plus de compétences en réseaux informatique.
  • Posséder plus de cinq ans d’expérience dans l'intégration et les déploiements côté client, ainsi que dans la surveillance et les essais de performance et dans le soutien au système et aux applications.
  • Avoir des connaissances de l’exploitation des technologies de l’information et posséder cinq ans d’expérience dans les pratiques exemplaires des bibliothèques de données sur l'infrastructure des technologies de l'information (ITIL). Détenir un baccalauréat en informatique ou un baccalauréat dont la matière principale est les sciences, la technologie, l’ingénierie ou les mathématiques (« STEM majors »).
  • Avoir de l’expérience dans les activités de services dans un environnement Linux ou dans le soutien aux applications ou détenir une maîtrise avec 6 ans d'expérience dans les activités de matériel et de logiciels embarqués et dans le soutien Linux ou le soutien aux applications.
  • Posséder une expertise avancée du domaine et une excellente approche à l’égard de la clientèle. Détenir une expertise des processus et des méthodologies ainsi que des compétences dans les processus de construction, des versions et du déploiement.
  • Vous devez accepter de vous soumettre à une vérification préalable à l’emploi, y compris, mais sans s’y limite, à une vérification des références et des antecedents.
  • Vous devez posséder le droit sans restriction de travailler au Canada.

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux server, Software development and networking.
  • 5+ with client side integration and deployments., monitoring and performance testing and/or system and application support.
  • 5 years IT operation knowledge, experience with ITIL best practices. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • Background service operations in a Linux environment or Application Support OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in the technology space in embedded hardware and software operations and Linux Support or Application Support.
  • Possess advanced domain knowledge and show great customer focus. Expert in processes / methodologies and Skilled in build, release & deployment processes.
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check.
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization.


Desired Characteristics:
TECHNICAL
  • Possesses strong IT and SW system ownership and analysis capability.
  • Able to own the issues and drive solution with a global team.
  • Experience in working in an Agile SDLC.
  • Able to analytically and trouble real time server client system, that has a hardware and cellular communication system.
  • Linux/Unix system administration experience.
  • Real Time Operating System RTOS experience.
  • Deployment & Automation and Configuration Management tools: Antifactory efactory and Jenkins.
  • Experience with coding and DB in Java, Postgress.
  • Experience with codding and working with API and Microservices.
  • Experience in Docker Containerization.
  • Experience with Monitoring and Logging tools such as elasticsearch, LogStash, Kibana, Nagios or Splunk.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and interpret business and technical documents.

NON-TECHNICAL
  • Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.
  • Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
  • Troubleshoot application alerts from monitoring tools and follow SOPs to resolve or escalate appropriately.
  • Work directly with service engineers to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
  • Drive customer communication during critical events and lead retrospective meetings.
  • Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical support experience with minimal guidance.
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the customer community and knowledge base articles and keep them up-to-date.
  • Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple services.
  • Participate in 24 x7 on-call rotation and work with global teams.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
