We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for providing great customer service, collecting necessary documents and verifying information to assist with responsible lending decisions.

Providing professional customer service for both new loan applicants and existing loan customers
Make outbound calls and email requests for required information required to fulfill loan applications
Answer incoming phone calls, email inquiries, and online chat inquiries
Obtain and verify necessary employment and financial information from loan applicants
Conduct VOE (verification of employment) calls
Scheduling loan interviews for Loan Officers (Underwriters)
Initiate instant banking verification
Verify application references provided
Upload customer loan application documents to internal systems
Cultivate positive relationships with applicants, active customers, and referral partners
Tactfully handle customer complaints as per company policy
Liaison with internal operational teams and external referral sources
Required experience, knowledge, and skills:
1+ year in customer service and/or sales
Advanced literacy and numeracy and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and phone manner
High level of assertiveness and strong attention to detail
Well-developed organizational and time management skills
Aptitude for multi-tasking
Ability to interpret, adapt to and apply guidelines and procedures
Proficiency in MS office and typing speed above 40 wpm
High school education or equivalent
Should have the availability to work on weekdays and weekends, including evening shifts (1 pm to 9 pm)
