As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolves complex technical problems, finds solutions to customer needs, and leads projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate diagnoses and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.Additional Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field. 5+ years of DBA experience using Oracle. Experience in the support and management of large database installations. Experience in troubleshooting performance issues, evaluate code, analyze and make suggestions for improvements. Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is necessary. Ability to identify opportunities, develop and implement process improvements. Must have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams within set project schedules and forge a relationship by communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional Information: Flexibility within work hours may be required depending upon project. Required to be on-call on a rotational basis.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Oracle Financials, Hyperion, DRM, PeopleSoft, and Clinical applications. Knowledge of other databases like MSSQL, MySQL, Cache, and mobile embedded databases like Sybase ASA. Knowledge of SAN storage and latest Oracle technologies (version 12c). Knowledge of capacity planning, consolidation and stress testing. Knowledge of database modeling including Power Designer and writing effective PL/SQL queries, Korn and any other shell scripting. Oracle certification.
