Laborie Medical Technologies has an opportunity for a Production Technician to join our talented Manufacturing & Production team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Technician plays a key role in the assembly and integration of systems. Responsibilities include testing, calibration of equipment, inspection, troubleshooting, as well as other activities within the production process. In addition to having sound knowledge of PC assemblies, this individual follows PC software and QC instruction manuals for UDS equipment.
The ideal candidate is experienced with electromechanical assembly, and possesses sound knowledge of computer hardware and software. With a collaborative attitude, the candidate works well with others in a team environment.
Build product Electro mechanical subassemblies or final assemblies
Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production
Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity
Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information
Keep production logs
Maintain inventory of job materials
Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements
Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports
Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
Start up and shut down processing equipment
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
Clean production equipment or work areas
Provide advice or training to other technicians
Separate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse, or environmentally sound disposal
Working experience as Production Technician preferred
Knowledge of Electronics, machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge of Computer hardware and software, including configuration and installation of software
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to production of various goods and services
Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Basic knowledge of Mathematical principles, knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
