Associate Counsellor Master Level Jobs Vacancy in Heather Macpherson And Associates Counselling Services Langley Jobs Details:
I am a relationship-oriented Registered Clinical Counsellor with a private practice in Langley City. I and am looking to take on one part-time contract associate counsellor. The position would likely start in March as one day per week (Mondays and/or a weekend day to start) and would likely increase fairly quickly to a few more days (or half days) a week to accommodate 10-12 clients per week. Within office availability, you will have the opportunity to set your own schedule.
The applicant’s approach/style that would best suit my (current and targeted) clientele would be a counsellor who is highly relationship-focused. Additionally, I am searching for a counsellor who has both post-graduate training and experience in body-oriented trauma approaches (Sensorimotor, SE, Hakomi, etc.), and who has experience working with individuals who experience symptoms of complex trauma and/or (have often been diagnosed with) BPD. Training and experience using DBT and various methods of resourcing clients is essential in reducing symptomatic behavior and stabilizing emotions, while preparing to work at a deeper level when the client is resourced to do so. As such, familiarity using the tri-phasic model (to trauma) is essential.
A portion of referrals I receive are from individuals battling OCD. Therefore, training in CBT with ERP would be an asset. However, I am willing to provide information and training pertaining to this subject.
Due to the population of clients I have the honor of working alongside of, the ability to compassionately set clear and consistent boundaries is needed.
The position is that of a private contractor and as such, Heather MacPherson Counselling Services would be responsible for advertising, connecting with new clients, scheduling (according your availability and office space), payments, receipts, and office rent. You would be required to bring your own laptop or notes system and a small filing cabinet with a lock. Notes must not leave the office or be saved on hard drives that will leave the office. Remuneration is a 63/37 split in favor of the associate.
If you would like a better sense of me and the philosophy of my practice, please see www.heathermacpherson.com Please note that I can only accept associates who have completed a Master's Degree, who are registered with the BCACC, and who are insured. Position is likely to start in late-March. Please send resume and cover letter outlining your training and experience.
Thank you for your application. Due to the volume of applications, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
Looking forward to hearing from you
