Senior Business Analyst, Application Reliability
Purpose of Job
This job is initiated to enhance the bank's application reliability for Canadian Banking. The position will create and introduce processes and procedures for reliability, and also act as part of the Major Incident response team.
Application Reliability Center (ARC) primary mandate will be to expedite improved incident management and enhanced communications. This group will partner with Enterprise Service Management where Service Management has scope for specific applications, and fill the gaps in major incident management where Enterprise Service Management does not currently have scope.
Key Job Accountabilities
Part of a team to recover from Major Technology Incidents within the bank
Facilitate bridge calls to minimize impact and recover quickly
Recording of MI activities, analyzing business impact, and debriefing for continuous improvement
Communicate to technical and business teams and executives on outages, and key initiatives to enhance application reliability
Participate as the representative of Canadian Banking in key ITSM and Application Reliability initiatives,
Provide thought leadership and vision processes that will enhance reliability of Canadian Banking applications
Skills, Experiences and Functional Competencies
Assertive with strong facilitation skills
Analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and can think to create processes
Ability to synthesize information under pressure
Excellent problem solving
Strong communication skills (presentation, written)
Able to embrace new tools / seeks out new tools and can leverage them for process improvement
A strong focus on automation of routines, and an eye for continuous improvement
Education and Other Requirements
Required: Degree or diploma from a post-secondary facility
Minimum 4 years in an IT environment.
Preference given to those with:
A degree or diploma in a technology related program, engineering, or business.
Experience with optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations
ITIL foundations certification (or equivalent)
Project Management designation
CMMI (Process maturity designations), Six Sigma (Lean or Quality designations)
