REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SUMMER STUDENTS:
To be considered for summer student employment with Thunder Bay Hydro, students
must have been attending school on a full-time basis for the 2017-18 school year, and
be returning to full-time studies for the 2018-19 school year.
HOURLY RATE: $15.38 (May 1, 2018 rates)
- The student will collect electrical data for the Conservation team at local businesses across the city of Thunder Bay.
- The student will use an ipad/mobile device to gather and record what electrical equipment is located at each location.
- He/she will set up appointments with businesses.
- The student performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications• Enrolled in a post-secondary Business or Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) Program and returning as a full-time student in the fall of 2018.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge and Experience of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
• Must have and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G) and the use of a vehicle.
• Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.
• Able to work independently.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment, i.e., lighting systems, HVAC, motors, etc.
• Experience working with a database management system.
