The Information Services and Decision Support Department is responsible for the provisioning of technology
and data throughout the organization. We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to help LOFT staff
maintain their daily operations without being hindered by the technology they are using. The role also
supports ongoing enhancements to our IT infrastructure, where the IT Support Technician plays a key role in
current and future implementations.
- Provide technical support to staff in Windows and iOS environment
o Respond to and assist with all service calls within predefined service level agreements
o Tier 1 (and Tier 2 where possible) support to all hardware and software-related matters
o Explain highly technical terms and concepts in plain language to end-users
o Develop and foster effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
o Assist in developing various reporting products to monitor the helpdesk function
o Proactively assess helpdesk processes and suggest options to continually improve efficiency
and customer service
o Develop and implement plans to improve organization’s use and understanding of
- Support the System Administrator in the setup and deployment of new technology and related
o Modify hardware and software configurations in machines and networking equipment based
o Deploy hardware in accordance with LOFT standards
o Install and remove software from machines
o Manage IT-related inventory from ongoing support and new deployments
o Research and analyze new and emerging technologies and processes to continually enhance
LOFT’s use of technology
