Our Project Finance group:
As part of RBC’s Global Investment Banking platform, the Project Finance group arranges limited-recourse debt capital and provides advisory services for clients in the energy and power sectors across North America. The group engages in the origination, structuring, diligence and syndication of debt products across the spectrum of debt markets including bank, institutional loan, high-yield and investment-grade debt capital markets. The group also provides comprehensive financial advisory services to developers of large energy infrastructure projects.
What will you do?
The Analyst will be responsible for:
Performing financial modeling and analysis
Assisting in the preparation of client presentations and deal documents
Participating in internal and external meetings
Producing industry and company-specific research and analysis
Maintaining and updating various energy infrastructure and market databases
Providing general support to the Project Finance team
What do you need to succeed?
Completed a university undergraduate degree and have or working towards a graduate level program such as CFA, CPA, MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance or accounting
Minimum of one year of project finance, corporate finance, accounting, or consulting experience and / or previous experience in the energy / power space is highly desired
Track record of outstanding academic achievement
A self-starter and strong team player with ability to work well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Knowledge of general capital markets
Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are a must
High regard for detail and accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work extended hours and on weekends when required
