What is the opportunity?
As an Associate Director, Murex Business Analyst, You will act as the liaison between the Front/Back Office business users and technology/development teams. Your primary role will be to elicit business requirements, provide enhancements, support, and help drive RBC’s FX Cash Murex build-out.
What will you do?
Engage directly with the business users globally to elicit and understand the requirements.
Liaise with implementation/development team members to translate/convert business requirements into design specifications.
Work as part of the implementation team to help improve RBC’s Murex platform and enhancing/replacing legacy components, adding functionality or improving processes.
Business transformation component – critical element will be taking the manual processes in Front and Back Office and re-engineering the business process, leveraging the new Murex platform capabilities to automate processes, and consolidating the manual work to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
This program is an integral part of RBC Capital Markets Technology’s 20/20 Architecture Strategy, and will be the first to leverage the data strategy, API, cloud computing, and service oriented architecture.
Effectively communicate, update, and work closely as part of a large Murex team encompassing multiple regions and over several asset classes.
What do you need to succeed?
(Ideally) 5-7+ years of Murex expertise – either Front Office OR Back Office & Processing modules and configurations.
Strong FO pricing/analytics skills OR strong BO product control, accounting, confirmation, settlement experience; ability to face FO clients/traders OR BO users and perform Murex demonstrations.
Strong Murex data extraction/export experience; Familiarity with integration layers and connectivity with Murex and other applications.
(Ideally) 10+ years overall Capital Markets industry expertise and considerable focus/experience with FX Asset Class in a global setting.
Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to take on responsibility and lead small teams.
Nice To Have:
Project management and/or budget management experience would be helpful.
CFA, FRM, MBA, or Canadian Securities Course.
Back Office – accounting or finance operations support experience.
Front Office – trading desk experience, user exposure.
