Coop Student – Summer 2018
This role supports the firm's competitive intelligence and product development activities
The role is accountable for producing research reports as well as developing and maintaining the Excel spreadsheets used in that process
Research competitor firms and products in the Canadian retail segment
Produce written reports for distribution to investment advisors
Design, build and manage Excel spreadsheets to create and automate report production
Ability to use Excel VBA to automate routine reporting tasks
Strong business writing skills
Knowledge of mutual fund industry and products
Key Results Areas
Complete work on existing automation tool for competitive intelligence head to head reports
Competitive Intel support
Manage production of ongoing reports such as rival report, product launch comparisons, sales quilt, etc.
Research and write 1-2 page articles on topics relevant to sales channels
