Junior Technical Systems Analyst Jobs Vacancy in Rbc Toronto Jobs Details:
What is the Opportunity?
As a Technical Analyst, you will partner across IT and business units to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues and recommend technological solutions that meet business and sponsor/stakeholder needs.
What will you do?
Design, code/develop and test technical enhancements and solutions for business needs
Lead detailed design phases for small to large projects/ programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues.
Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for small to medium projects in accordance with PLC, security and architecture documentation objectives.
Work together with Project Manager; determine best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
Provide input and co-ordinates with DBA in creating new and modifying existing database structures using different types of databases and recommending appropriate DB based on required functionality.
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
Prepares and delivers presentations to business and technology partners and senior management, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience.
What do you need to succeed?
1-3 years’ experience in Programming on Unix/Linux, AIX, Mainframe
Shell Scripting, JCL/COBOL, ZEKE, ENDEVOR
Database Design/Structures, Oracle/SQL
Excellent technical writing and reading skills
Knowledge of the Development Life Cycles knowledge of Waterfall and Agile Methodologies
Nice to have
Experience working within the financial sector
Working within varying size and complexities of projects
Competency in leadership, conflict resolution, and issue escalations
