What is the opportunity?
As a Application Specialist within Wealth Management Technology & Solutions, Data Management and Insight team, you will provide BSA support to Data Hub Environments. Working with business partners, Project Managers, Technical System Analyst, IT partners in multiple infrastructure teams, upstream/downstream systems services providers, 3rd party vendor partners, and operation partners in a fast pace environment.
What will you do?
Work with IT and Business Partners to understand and document the business meaning of data, business and IT requirements, provide analysis, system requirements and clarifications to Dev and support team.
Manage risks, dependencies, assumptions and constraints for requirements, ensure all actions taken, decisions and recommendations made are fully documented , and communicate to appropriate parties.
Lead the process standardization for Data Management and Insight team including data governance, and data access to ensure RBC IT standards, audit and compliances requirements are followed and met.
Manage small initiatives by working with different teams including Unix, Windows, Security, Network, Change Management to ensure initiatives complete successfully.
Build and maintain good relationship with both business and IT partners.
Lead, present, and facilitate large walkthrough and sign-off meeting with key stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
Strong business domain understanding of Wealth-Management, excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with Wealth Management application
Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different projects and priorities
Exposure to data governance and compliance processes and technologies supporting data profiling, cleansing, standardization and MDM
Knowledge of key Databases, primarily dealing with large data volume, database schema design and exposure to enterprise reporting and analytic tools based on Hadoop/HDFS sourced data like Tableau
Team player known for providing creative thought leadership while also listening to and engaging others
