Key responsibilities include: the coordination of projects and teams; creates and monitors work plans, schedules and milestones; identifies resources needed, coordinates and assigns project activities; organizes external reviews; monitors project budgets; prepares project reports and projections; liaises with collaborating organizations. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the development of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and monitoring established agreements; updating web pages, document archives and email lists; as well as convening and coordinating regular project meetings.
Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal project management certification (e.g. PMP) considered an asset.
Minimum five (5) years of recent and related experience in project management, preferably in education or healthcare sector. Demonstrated experience applying project management methodology and principles to develop work plans, research and draft proposals and reports, monitor milestones, deliverables and agreements, support strategic planning, manage budgets and grants and coordinate meeting logistics. Experience managing and preparing for external accreditation reviews. Knowledge of continuing professional development in the healthcare education continuum. Knowledge of MOHLTC transfer payment agreements and University’s financial policies and procedures. Experience updating websites.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows and Mac.
Strong analytical, organizational, time‐management and problem‐solving skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time. Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with a wide range of individuals at all levels; ability to exercise a high level of tact, discretion and sensitivity; accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to work independently and in a team environment; ability to be self‐directed and to take initiative.
