Job Description:About the business :
Sun Life Procurement Application and Information Management provides technical support and solutions to Sun Life enterprise Procurement department’s operations and initiatives.
About the role:
As a key contributor of the Procurement Application and Information Management team (part of the Procurement department), the key focus of this position will be to assist with the implementation, operations and management of key procurement applications. In addition, the position would be responsible for analyzing and reporting on company spend, purchase order, sourcing, contract and supplier risk data to support both procurement and sourcing teams. This position reports to the Manager, Procurement Application and Information Management.
Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the procurement systems. As the subject matter expert you will work with IT team and/or an external supplier to troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
Leading and/or collaborating with IT or an external vendor in the identification and implementation of new technology and system enhancements, including requirements documentation, system customization and testing, and reporting development.
Analyses and reports on repository of data (spend analytics, purchase order, sourcing metrics, contracts, supplier risk etc.).
Development and distribution of timely and accurate operational and management reporting and metrics
Ensure robustness, integrity and security of sourcing and procurement data across all applications
Documentation of processes and operating procedures
Develop close working relationships with business partners and stakeholders with an objective to maintain or improve business partner satisfaction
Rigorous focus on identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Development and deployment of internal online collaboration tools (i.e. wiki’s, SharePoint, and collaboration tools) to support effective operational processes and business partner collaboration, awareness and adoption
University Degree in Business Administration, MIS or related field
Minimum 2 years experience in a procurement or sourcing environment is desired
Experience with system/application management/reporting is an asset
Experience with Ariba (Spend Visibility, Contract Management or eSourcing) or similar is a strong asset
Experience with Hiperos or similar Third Party Risk Tool is a strong asset
Experience with Oracle R12 (iProcurement, Purchasing, Discoverer, etc.) or similar is an asset
Extensive experience with MS Office Suite – advanced skills with Excel and/or MS Access is an asset
Experience with Lean Management principles is an asset
Proven time management skills, multi-tasking and the ability to successfully handle multiple project priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail for both reporting and system testing
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service focus and analytical skills
Ability to independently lead small projects and to exercise judgment
Macro and VBA skills are an asset but not required
