Senior Technical Systems Analyst (Digital Platform Support team)
What is the opportunity?
The Digital Platform Support team is part of the greater RBC Digital ecosystem. The team has a broad mandate to support, provide custodianship and manage all changes, compliance and risk of the bank’s secured digital products, online banking, online Investing and associated mobile apps. As RBC’s Personal and Commercial clients increasingly interact with the bank digitally there is a growing need for support and security of new capabilities being introduced?
Joining the Digital Platform Support team (DI Investing) as a Sr. Technical System Analyst, you will have the opportunity to partner with a multitude of IT and Business stakeholders to research, assess, analyze and debug technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions and coding practice that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. You will also assume end-to-end technical responsibility through handoff and implementation while adhering to enterprise / group-level standards and best-practices within the scope of Digital Development projects.
What will you do?
Assesses and analyses business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to troubleshoot web application errors.
Advance troubleshooting for complex priority incidents.
Evaluate and recommend “end to end” technical solutions that take into account the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints. Analyses the viability of the solution to meet project deployment delivery timeline and quality.
Identifies technical issues and risks and define mitigation approach.
Provides technical leadership to a project team members based on safety soundness of production environment.
Works with Development leads, Senior Managers and assists in the deployment methodology of the project roadmap and successfully deploying the code packages to production servers.
Works with development leads, business systems specialists from the impacted application groups/3rd parties to understand the current state and constraints for defining the future state architecture & the interfaces.
Available for shift-rotation 24X7 support.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in a technical area of study (computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.) or other BS/BA degree with a concentration in computer science or information systems.
Total IT experience of at least 7 years out of which 3 years doing coding and systems development.
Experience with SQL server
Strong leadership skills (not a follower), ability to define, influence and impact the technical direction.
Ability to quickly evaluate options, make decisions and execute within an intense high-tech environment.
Windows System Administration experience - IIS , .net
