Receptionist Relief Jobs Vacancy in Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Branch Brampton Jobs Details:

CMHA/Peel Dufferin is recruiting for the position of Relief Receptionist. The Incumbent will provide reception coverage and administrative support at CMHA Peel’s offices in Brampton, Rexdale, and Orangeville.

The position reports to Program Manager and is a public facing position that requires constant interaction with the public, clients and visitors to CMHA/Peel’s offices. As this is a Relief position, regular hours per week are not guaranteed.

Pay band is $14.00 per hour - $17.84 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Reception:
To act as receptionist for CMHA/Peel Dufferin offices.

Perform telephone and reception duties at reception

Greet guests, clients and other members of the public to the office and direct them to the appropriate department/individual

Use second language proficiency to interpret for clients as needed.

To compile and distribute incoming and outgoing mail to various programs

Ensure that program brochures are available and order as needed.

To book meeting rooms and training rooms and facilities as per organizational Outlook calendar as requested.

Assist program admins as required with letters, booking venues, updating outlook contacts, and other administrative duties as required.

Responsible for general office upkeep including the housekeeping of the CMHA board rooms after meetings.

Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, ordering supplies as needed, verifying receipt of supplies.

Kitchenette duties including ensuring that the dishwasher is run as needed; dishes loaded and removed on a daily basis; Check fridge weekly and communicate with cleaning staff regarding cleaning issues.

Provide additional administrative support such as filing and data entry to CMHA/Peel Management and teams as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary diploma in Business/Office Administration or relevant field is required.

Minimum 3 years of Reception and office administration experience

Proficiency in additional language(s) that reflect the diversity of Peel is an asset

Possess open, non-judgmental attitude towards people with mental illnesses and/or disabilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person and on phone

Pleasant, professional, and courteous manner

Comfortable interacting with CMHA/Peel clients and members

Superior knowledge and understanding of administrative role supporting senior management.

Strong organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment

Enthusiastic problem solver and dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence

Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite

Experience working in the non-profit sector is an asset

Reliable vehicle and necessary insurance is required.

Ability to travel to CMHA Peel’s office sites in Brampton, Rexdale, and Orangeville.

Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check is required.
