Regional Finance And Administration Assistant Jobs Vacancy in Yukon Government Haines Junction Jobs Details:

This is for a seasonal position, working 75 hours bi-weekly, at our Regional base located in Haines Junction. This position has a start date of April 4, 2018. This competition may be used to fill other Regional Finance and Administration Assistant vacancies within the Territory.

At Wildland Fire Management, our priority is to protect life, property and resources in a safe, professional and effective manner. This position provides support to regional and territorial Wildland Fire Management by performing a variety of clerical, financial, operational and administrative duties.

Essential Qualifications :

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Experience working in an office environment, including dealing with members of the public
  • Experience undertaking computerized data entry
  • Experience completing financial administration tasks (such as invoicing, reconciliation and contract administration)
  • Possession of, or experience, in the following would be considered an asset:
  • Restricted Radio Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A)
  • Experience working in a dispatch/radio operator setting
Additional Information :

Conditions of Employment:
  • Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver's Licence (or equivalent);
  • Restricted Radio Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A)
Job Requirements :
  • The ability to work extended hours and weekends with short notice and often under stressful conditions.
  • The ability to work in remote locations or other regions
  • Travel by vehicle, fixed wing aircraft or helicopter as/and if required.
