Continuing Professional Development (CPD) develops and provides accredited professional development workshops for faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars, as well as continuing medical and dental education programs for practicing physicians, dentists and allied health professionals in South Western Ontario and nation-wide. CPD supports programs and departments in the assessment of educational needs, and in the design, development, and accreditation of educational programs to meet identified educational gaps.
The Administrative Assistant supports the administration of the IDEAS Foundation of Quality Improvement Program of behalf of the department . The incumbent will be responsible for managing communication surrounding new course offerings, registering participants into cohorts, tracking participant course completion, coordinating logistics for individual course sessions, and drafting progress reports. The Administrative Assistant also responds to phone and e-mail inquiries about the program.
Community College Diploma in an administrative field
1 year experience providing customer service in a business office setting
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
Knowledge of general office procedures; Ability to establish effective routines for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity; Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in professional, respectful and diplomatic manner;
Self-motivated multi-tasker with strong organizational skills; Positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation; Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and follow through on work assignments; Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred; Written and verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience; Customer service skills to understand customer needs and expectations, with a desire to deliver helpful and reliable service to program participants and partner organizations .
