Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario created to improve the coordination and responsiveness of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The organization’s mission is to champion, develop and implement an integrated, multi-modal transportation system for the region. Metrolinx operates GO Transit, the regional public transit service, the downtown-airport Union Pearson Express and PRESTO, an enterprise-wide automated payment system. Its capital projects include GO Regional Express Rail, advancement of the York VIA Rapidway, Eglinton Crosstown, Finch, Hurontario and Hamilton Light Rail Transit.
Metrolinx is seeking a seasoned and experienced Chief Marketing Officer who will be a key contributing member of the Senior Management Team. The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) provides strategic leadership and operational management to the Marketing Division. This position has three Directors reporting in to it directly and a total staff complement of approximately 50-70. The CMO is accountable to stakeholders for revenue optimization, brand management and implementation and sustainment of a marketing strategy. The CMO leads by example in fostering a high-performing, innovative, collaborative culture, capable of adapting to growth and change within a fast-paced environment, and delivering results aligned to the organization’s business plans and priorities.Qualifications
You have a minimum of 15 years of senior management experience leading and developing corporate strategy in a similar function. You understand the power of data analytics, market segmentation, demographics, how to use different delivery channels, branding and advertising. You have demonstrated innovation in your work, are a skilled relationship builder with a large network access across multiple industries and the ability to develop and manage a pipeline of prospective partners. You are a strong project manager who understands budget and schedule controls, who is capable of leading and directing teams and consultants. You have experience monitoring project activities for adherence to timelines, budgets, and project performance objectives. You are a strong communicator (both written and verbal) possessing a strategic mindset with a willingness to embrace change. You are a strong decision-maker with the ability to make decisions within a rapid and demanding environment and have demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting information and presenting complex information to a wide range of senior audiences.
