Department Head, Branch Services, Regina Public Library
Regina Public Library is looking for a motivated and creative individual with a commitment to customer
service to fill a significant role on its management team. If you possess an ALA accredited Master’s
degree in Library and Information Studies*, complemented by strong managerial skills, ingenuity, integrity
and a keen appreciation for change management, we’d like to hear from you.
Reporting to the Deputy Library Director, this exciting new position will manage and oversee managers
and supervisors responsible for enabling excellent customer service and community engagement in
library branches. The Department Head will play a significant role in the continued development of
Regina Public Library’s programs and services, and will join and participate on our customer-centered,
highly-energetic and collaborative management team.
The successful candidate will model excellent customer service skills, motivate others, and commit to an
environment of respect and accountability. They will demonstrate progressive management experience
in the delivery of customer services to a broad audience.

* Post-graduate leadership or management studies, or a management designation, may be considered.
• Manage supervisors and managers who oversee excellent customer service and community
engagement through the branch service locations;
• Provide leadership and initiative in the evidence-based research and development of programs,
services, and projects that advance the service goals and strategic direction of the library;
• Contribute to the development of library service and strategic planning through participation in
collaborative decision-making processes.
This is an exempt position in a unionized environment.
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Salary and Benefits: $92,341 to $131,916; Total rewards package including generous support for
