What is the opportunity?
Our RBC Process Automation team is hiring for a Process Automation Developer (.Net | C#). You will play a key role in developing automated processes using Robotic Automation software in support of our automation roadmap transforming how we serve clients and innovate to become a more agile and efficient bank. This team will work with existing processes from Personal &Commercial Banking (P&CB) businesses, existing applications, and infrastructure to design, automate and deliver more efficient and effective solutions working closely with subject matter experts, process redesign experts, related IT partners and external partners as needed.
What will you do?
Work closely with business partner Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Process experts to develop and deliver opportunities for automations of processes and support through end to end development of those opportunities (including process design and technical development of the end to end solution)
Execute re-engineering and automation projects of varied complexity/scope, work with Sr. Manager Operations Automation to define approach and focus of structured work, plan, organize, and execute identified project segments, identify and manage risk, ensure work is of highest quality and achieve outstanding partner satisfaction results
Ensure any solution conceptualized has a component of re-use elsewhere in Personal & Commercial Banking (P&CB) and has the visibility of the A&PD Architecture team and the NGO COE
Drive analysis of business operation needs to ensure design and functionality of the end to end process is client and employee focused, efficient and effective as possible and utilizes effective tools to understand business irritants and process gaps to enable future solutions
Validate technical configuration: Ensure operation of designed process as intended and migration from development to test and test to production environments through close collaboration with Technology & Operations partners. Support Controller/Operations Manager on management of run-time resources to successfully integrate target and existing automation and workflow processes.
Execute on implementation: Work with partner and support teams to execute automation initiatives, from project scoping to rollout/implementation. Be a change agent, bring in lessons learned from other situations, shape effective communications, mobilize commitment for support when facing obstacles and influence to achieve closure on actions
Support change management: Support team responsibilities outlined in the change management plan for change impact, risks, and mitigation strategies. Execute the plan with stakeholders and affected employees and escalate appropriately
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders ensuring collaboration, professionalism and cooperation against scope, timelines and budget. Provide ongoing support for processes in production to promote operational safety and soundness and maintain end user satisfaction
What do you need to succeed?
1 to 4 years of IT experience and having good understanding of programming concepts. Should be from a programming background on any coding language (preferably .Net and C#).
Good understanding of Process Design documents, Technical Design documents in Automation space.
Understand development methodology and lifecycle working with software to develop end-end solutions and technologically self-sufficient
Experienced in developing and delivering initiatives ‘starting from scratch’
Project, stakeholder, relationship, change and transformation management and Operational risk experience and practices
Experience in working with cross functional teams across P&CB (Operations, Product teams, Digital, Sales, IT, Vendors, etc.).
Good understanding of various automation components and features available in Robotics Products. Should be trained on RPA tools (Blue Prism/PEGA Robotics).
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
A quick learner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
