What is the opportunity?
Do you have strong analytical skills? Do you consider yourself a critical thinker? Do you have knowledge of Capital Markets trading products? As an Analyst, you will bring your strong organizational skills and attention to detail to the table quickly becoming a valuable member of the Global Trading Client Management team. You will participate in day to day management and administration of authorized credit and transactional limits within the banks, supranational and sovereign portfolio.
What will you do?
In line with Regulatory reporting requirements, you will assist and maintain the accuracy of the regular review of trading and non-trading credit limits and the verification of counterparty data (such as ownership and credit ratings) within various RBC Capital Markets systems. Work closely with GTCM team members to assist with the co-ordination and preparation of Transaction Requests and amendments. Assist with management of day-to-day account issues including excesses, urgent requests (amendments), and limit reallocations. Assist in the preparation and reporting of portfolio statistics and other management information reports in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for ensuring maintenance of data integrity. Assist with continuous identification and reporting of critical risk events affecting specific counterparties and the overall portfolio
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s Degree with strong financial analysis, research and problem solving skills
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong research skills (data collection) and the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and develop reporting & tracking tools in simple to read excel spreadsheets
Strong time management and organizational skills- must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks in order to meet demanding fact paced needs to the trading businesses
Demonstrate ability to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using verbal and written presentations
Nice to have:
Previous experience working in a Financial Institution preferred
Capital Markets knowledge and trading product knowledge (specifically derivatives, repurchase agreements, securities lending)
Previous credit or risk management experience preferable
Pursuing CFA designation
