Contact Centre Representative Jobs Vacancy in York Region Newmarket Jobs Details:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Access York, is responsible for providing direct services to applicants, clients, service providers and the general public in a telephone contact centre environment; soliciting information to determine services that the caller requires; determining initial eligibility for various Department services; making referrals to Department staff, other Departments and community agencies; processing applications; and producing standard reports.
Qualifications Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Social Services, Business Administration or a related discipline, or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience delivering service to clients in a social service or call centre environment.
Satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
Program knowledge of Social Assistance, Family & Childrens Services and Housing & Residential Services.
Knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in, corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management and accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.
Knowledge of current legislation related to Ontario Works, Family and Childrens Services and Housing programs.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills and basic numeric skills.
Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database applications at an intermediate level and competent in conducting Internet searches.
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service to applicants and clients in a fair and expedient manner.
Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion and good judgement in dealing with clients and team members.
Ability to relate in an objective and empathetic way to customers.
Ability to work outside regular business hours, as required.
