What is the opportunity?
The purpose of this role is work within a global team of transformational resources, dedicated to modernizing and digitizing operational processes in order to deliver positive bottom-line results for Wealth Management Operations and the various businesses that the group supports. Through detailed understanding, documentation, re-engineering, and automation of Operations’ processes, the incumbent will evolve existing processes, applications, and infrastructure, designing and delivering a more efficient and effective operating environment by working closely with subject matter experts across WM Operations, WM Technology & Solutions, WM businesses globally, CM Operations and the Enterprise Next Generation Optimization (NGO) Center of Excellence (CoE).
Success is delivering transformational change, which is based on achieving measurable performance improvements and significantly enhancing the ability for the Operations group to provide efficient, scalable processing and advisory services to all business partners.
This role will be located either at 6880 Financial Drive, Mississauga or at 180 Wellington, Toronto.
What will you do?
Schedule and run automated processes, ensure the stability of the automation IT environment, investigate any issues in the live processes, and raise change requests or support calls where required
Understand system and business change cycles to ensure automated processes are proactively amended to reflect changes
Collaborate closely with other Operations groups across RBC and NGO CoE to utilize established best practices, processes and methodologies and to leverage and build organizational experience
Maintain working relationship with automation software vendors to ensure known issues that may impact the production environment are communicated
Work in conjunction with the NGO CoE and CoEs for Rightsourcing, Consulting, Process Excellence to contribute to the NGO CoE practice, methodology and tools
What do you need to succeed?
2+ years of experience developing and applying some of the leading practices in:
- Process excellence, e.g., mapping, Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
- Finance, e.g., processes within month end closing cycle and reporting cycle
- Workflow management, e.g., Pega
- Workstream and relationship management
- Project, stakeholder, relationship, change and transformation management
- Operational risk experience and practices
2+ years of experience in Financial Services (preferred)
Software development and familiarity with higher level programming languages
Post-Secondary Education - BEng / BSc / BA, software development
Accreditations: CPA CA/CGA/CMA, Lean Practitioner
