What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst in Marketing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you’ll be a key contributor to the FP&A team reporting to the Manager of FP&A Marketing. We partner with the Marketing and Loyalty teams and develop detailed reporting and insightful analysis to help the team understand what happened, why it happened, and what they can do to influence what is going to happen. We provide insightful information that adds value and result in fact based decision making. We are looking for motivated individuals that have strong analytical skills and can communicate their findings to non-financial teams.
Provide the business with accurate, timely and insightful reporting on key performance indicators
Support the annual budget, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and monitor results budget/forecast
Develop a deep understanding of major performance drivers and assist business decision makers in the development of action plans to meet financial goals and mitigate risks
Manage data and data mining in order to translate financial data into actionable insights
Adapt to multiple data repositories and systems across the various banners and leverage the data to create a comprehensive view of marketing and loyalty across the enterprise
Provide analytical services to Marketing and Loyalty clients that will drive key decisions
Analyze the performance of loyalty and promotional campaigns and derive the incremental sales, impact on margins, and provide actionable recommendations to improve future events
Develop knowledge of the business in order to provide customized and relevant input
Build complex CBAs to investigate the ROI of potential marketing, loyalty or IT projects
Develop financial models that facilitate performance analysis
Present analytical insights and recommendations to clients and management
Participate as a subject matter expert in special projects
University Degree in Finance, Analytics, Mathematics, Accounting, or business related discipline
2 to 4 years of experience in an analytical role
Proven ability to provide recommendations and insights into data requests
Advanced analytical capabilities and problem solving skills
Proven ability to translate and communicate financial information to non-finance business partners in a manner that can derive actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively and professionally with senior management
Highly driven with an exceptionally strong work ethic
Admirable time management and self-management skills
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, Data Mining, and PowerPoint
Professional financial designation (CFA, CBV ,CPA, CMA, CA) is considered an asset
MBA is considered an asset
