Financial Administrative Assistant Jobs Vacancy in University Toronto Toronto Jobs Details:

Under the general supervision of the Health Clinic Coordinator and performing most duties independently, the incumbent provides administrative and financial assistance and support to the Health Clinic Coordinator, Medical Director and the Health & Counselling Centre staff. Key responsibilities include financial management of the centre including processing and reconciling medical billings to various insurance providers, reconciliation of monthly statements and monitoring cash flow throughout the centre. In addition, the incumbent will provide backup to the centre’s receptionists during breaks, vacations and holidays in the event that the second receptionist is unavailable.

Qualifications : (Minimum)
Education:
Completion of a three-year college diploma in accounting or business, or medical administrative assistant, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset.

Experience:
Minimum three (3) years financial and administrative experience including: working in a medical group practice setting; OHIP and UHIP billing, Electronic Data Transfer and Ministry of Health report reconciliation; Financial Information System experience or similar systems experience; Electronic Medical Records (OSCAR) or similar system; customer service.

Skills:
Strong basic accounting and purchasing knowledge of accounts payable, accruals, reconciliation of accounts, variance analysis, internal controls, audit procedures, HST, and OHIP/UHIP billings. Advanced spreadsheet skills required, including the ability to consolidate and link multiple spreadsheets and to use complex functions and formulas. Proficient user of Word, Outlook. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).

Other:
First Aid and CPR certification, preferred or willingness to be trained. Ability to maintain client confidentiality. Effective problem solver. Very good time management skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines. Ability to prioritize and effectively organize work independently. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruption. Ability to perform calmly and competently under stress. Flexibility during peak periods.
Travel: None Employee Group: United Steelworkers (USW) Appointment Type: Budget - Continuing Schedule : Full-time Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: USW Pay Band 09 -- $55,169 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $70,552. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
