Full Time Employment Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Services, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of superior graphics for use in a variety of media
applications. The incumbent will participate in the development of design concepts and creating media files/output to support campaigns, events and
special projects for all areas of Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.
Complete assigned Requests for Service within established deadlines. •
Conceptualize and create ideas, designs, and graphics that exceed our customers’ expectations. •
Design and produce multimedia content using desktop publishing applications and other graphic software and technology. •
Design and produce artwork consistent across a variety of media, in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, by-laws, contracts, brand
identity guidelines and corporate design standards. •
Design activities may include, but are not limited to: Enterprise Digital Signage Network (EDSN), touchscreen and NexGen displays, web advertising,
website design, social media, print advertising, out-of-home advertising, collateral materials, signage, corporate presentations and promotional
Work closely with other members of the Marketing Services department to deliver media files and administer the EDSN. •
Plan and implement visual effects, motion graphics, animation, and production. •
Proof and review final media output to ensure accuracy with our customer’s request. •
Aggressively learn new applications and tools for design and production technology as required. •
Work collaboratively to ensure quality and consistency in media output. Key interactions include Marketing Services department, internal customers,
external agencies, vendors and partners. •
Encourage a climate that supports diversity. •
Performs other duties as assigned.
Primary Qualifications: •
Diploma or certificate in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications or related field. •
A minimum of five (5) years working in a professional graphic design environment, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in
computer generated design. •
Formal training in graphic design production tools, including Adobe Creative Suite. •
A high level of expertise with all desktop publishing software and extensive experience with print and/or web design, graphics production, and
familiarity with relevant design and production tools. •
A high level of understanding and knowledge of graphic files (sizes, conversions, mechanics, and applications). •
A working knowledge of and experience with publishing processes (editorial, design, and print production). •
A working knowledge of the Internet, along with basic understanding of HTML, DHTML, WYSIWYG editors and various graphic applications. •
A working knowledge of visual effects, motion graphics, and animation, including Adobe After Effects or comparable software. •
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). •
Ongoing professional development is required to obtain and maintain an expert level knowledge in current and emerging desktop publishing and
animation technology. •
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with superior attention to detail. •
Ability to work independently or in a team environment. •

Secondary Qualifications: •
Bilingual (French/English) language skills. •
Prepress experience, copywriting skills, Flash web development tools, and video editing skills. •
Have and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 drivers’ license. •
Gaming, liquor or related industry experience.
